Event: The Giuce's Excellent Music Listening Party 4-17-07

Alright! Here it comes... Drumroll... Announcing...

THE GIUCE's Excellent Music Listening Party!

Thursday April 17th from 8 - 11 (or whenever), I will be hosting a party to expose and be exposed to hot new music. Evites have been sent, and hopefully everyone can attend. The concept is that everyone puts together mini 3 song playlists to play in a puff-puff-puff-give style. I am also encouraging that people use themes for each playlist.

I myself might be leaning towards genre / style based playlists. Or maybe playlists that center around emotions, and events in my life.

Also, I will be providing Texas Beer (Shiner Bock), and Texas Mexican Martini's (Trudy's!)

Event: Lombard Street Big Wheel Race

The other weekend I had a chance to attend the 7th Big Wheel race down Lombard Street. This is the "crookedest street in the world" for those who haven't seen it. This was an excellent event, that resulted in a graveyard of Big Wheel parts.

Highlights include:
- Someone running over my foot in a recycle bin + skateboard hybrid.
- Random people getting knocked over by Big Wheels.
- Billy Idol look-a-like riding a Barbie Big Wheel.
- Around 30 or so Mario & Luigis.

Here are a few pics!

Style: Imaginary Foundation

A few months ago I stumbled across this new label "Imaginary Foundation" at Stussy on Haight Street. There clothing was being sold on consignment, and quickly caught my eye. The new line of shirts have been launched, and their designs are once again mind blowing. Also, their shirts are American Apparel (quality + perfect fit), and the guy who owns the label lives on Cole St. in SF.
