Phoenix "1901"

I really want to write a blog post right now where I flip out, write lots of curse words, and generally convey a sense of disorder and lack of control in my writing. I'm not. However, getting wind of a new song from Phoenix makes me really want to do just that. Breath slowly. Count backwards from 10.

Ok. So it looks like Phoenix has just released a new track called "1901." I'm not going to try and describe it to you, as this isn't that kind of blog. I'm just going to say that it kicks ass and that you need to download it from Phoenix's site.

The Whitest Boy Alive "Rules"

Looks like The Whitest Boy Alive is releasing a new record in March entitled "Rules." Their previous record "Dreams" was enjoyable from start to finish. It was one of those rare records where every song is great, and there's no reason to skip ahead. Word on the street is that "Rules" will be just as good if not better. Here's a video of TWBA performing the first single from the record "Island" live. I hope you enjoy.

You know... I have to say it. Erlend Oye is the shit. He produces so much great music!
- The Whitest Boy Alive
- Kings of Convenience
- DJ Kicks mix (one of my two favorite DJ mixes of all time)

Mars-1 "Nuclear Mystic" at Jonathan Levine Gallery

Mars-1 is one of my two all-time favorite artists, alongside Doze Green. The style and skill shown in his art continues to blow my mind. It seams as if Mars evolves and refines his style with each show he has. His latest is "Nuclear Mystic" at Jonathan Levine Gallery in NYC. Here are a few pieces.

MashSF Tour of California jersey

MashSF is a collective of crazy track bike riders that center around SF. They recently put a team in the Tour of California, and this jersey commemorates the ride. I love the design, and hope to get my hands on one. you can pick up in the Mash storefront.

San Francisco cycling cap by Pace

Being a resident of San Francisco, and a big fan of cycling couture, I felt it appropriate to post the pic of this Pace hat. It's a little too busy for my tastes, but is still pretty cool. I like how it has the GG Bridge on the side!

The Presets "If I Know You" video

Fuck yeah! I love this song! I'm glad to see The Presets release a video for "If I Know You." This was certainly one of my favorite tracks of 2008. I always get really pumped up whenever I hear this song. It somehow manages to bring out the frustrations I sometimes have in others, and channel that into the urge to dance. It's kind of like getting pumped up and angry at a punk show. By the way, I feel like the kids doing there serious rock out dance is a metaphor for that emotion I feel when I hear this track. Very appropriate. ROCK!

Billionaire Boys Club - Formal Cycling Jacket

Billionaire Boys Club just released this formal cycling jacket. Pretty sweet tuxedo design, with reflective accents. this would be perfect to wear on the Sexy Saturday bike rides I've been discussing with friends. The only problem is that it costs $880. Why in god's name would I ride around in something that costs that much money. I could buy a real vintage tuxedo jacket for far less. I also am not really a fan of the little ray guns on the bottom front of the coat.
