Moderat = Modeselektor + Apparat

The Moderat record is finally out! For those not in the know, Moderat is Modeselektor + Apparat. Both are techno artists on Bpitch Control from Berlin, and have collaborated on this new project. The album is pretty solid, though I want to get the special edition with a second album of tracks. I'm the kind of person where I have to hear ALL the songs.

I digress. The record is pretty dope, especially on the tracks "Rusty Nails" and "Out of Sight" which feature more of an Apparat sound, complete with vocals from Sacha Ring (Apparat). The more Modeselektor like tracks are decent. Maybe I'm just dying for another Apparat record. Walls is still an all time favorite.

So check the link to see the cool trailer for the Moderat record, then pick up a copy. See if you notice a little Kid A nostalgia.

Suicide Girls does Fight Club tribute photo shoot

Suicide Girls just did a photo shoot tribute to Fight Club. I really enjoyed the concept, partially due to the fact that Chuck Palahniuk is my all-time favorite writer.

1. The first rule of Suicide Girls Fight Club is only girls with tats can get in.
2. The second rule of Suicide Girls Fight Club is that no shirts are allowed.

This is NOT SAFE FOR WORK IN ANY WAY.

James Jarvis video for Nike

James Jarvis animated this great video for Nike. It's of a Jarvis character running all over creation. Great stuff!

My new bicycle tag for Caltrain

I regulary commute via bicycle on Caltrain, where everyone uses yellow tags to identify start and end destinations. Instead of using their template, I decided to create my own tag. Here are some iPhone (aka low quality) pics of my San Francisco <-> Mountain View tag.
